About Me

​

Hi, my name is Rachael and I am an Ofsted registered childminder offering home from home care in the centre of Ramsey. I live with my husband and daughter who was born in 2015. We also have two cats called Lilly and Mia. 
We have lots of indoor and outdoor space, providing a stimulating environment for children to grow and develop. With trips to local parks, duck pond, library, and groups, 
I provide cooked meals and snacks catering for the children's dietary needs.

My Experience

​

I have 23 years of childcare experience. In 1995 I gained a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing. I started off as a nursery assistant and worked my way up to a senior nursery nurse in various different nurseries. I was also the special educational needs coordinator. 
In 2009 I completed City and Guilds in Early Years Foundation Stage.
In 2011 I became a sole charge nanny until 2015 when I had my daughter. During this time I looked after a wide age range of children from baby to 8 years old. This included a family with twins and a family of 4 children with ages ranging from 0-7.
On returning back to work after maternity leave I started childminding, completing my childminding course in 2017 and becoming an Ofsted registered childminder.
I attend courses in order to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.

*BTEC National Diploma In Caring Services Nursery Nursing. 

*City Guilds In Early Years Foundation Stage Level 3. 

*Current paediatric first aid certificate 

*Food hygiene

* Member of pacey and have full public liability insurance
